Purpose: As drone technology continues to advance, it is making leaps and bounds. Accordingly, we aim to explore the potential applications of drones in the security and police sectors, which require real-time, on-site judgment, and connect this to the potential applications of defense drones. Method: The focus is on identifying problems and development directions in the operation of domestic police drones through analysis of domestic and international police drone operation cases and exploring development directions accordingly. Result: We identify the limits of the operational scope and examine the limitations of the operational organization, operational system, operational qualifications, and training courses. Conclusion: It is believed that the legal control of the operational scope and standard areas of operating equipment for defense drones should be given weight and focus.
