Purpose: This study aims to prevent disasters caused by fire spreading to upper floors through windows due to balcony extensions in multi-family housing, which lead to a rapid increase in casualties and property damage. Additionally, it seeks to secure space for the installation of solar panels to promote the adoption of renewable energy. With the increasing trend of installing solar panels on railings, this study also examines potential issues and proposes measures to prevent fire spread to upper floors. Method: Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) is utilized to propose a method for securing a fire prevention distance by installing solar panels. Result: The study confirms the potential fire hazards associated with installing solar panels on existing railings. As a countermeasure to prevent fire spread to upper floors, the study proposes securing a separation distance through the installation of solar panels. Conclusion: The installation of solar panels not only prevents the vertical spread of fire but also provides a space for electricity generation.
연구목적: 본 연구는 공동주택에 있어서 발코니 확장으로 인해 창문을 통하여 상층부로 화재가 확대되어 인명피해와 재산손실이 급격하게 늘어나는 재해를 방지하고 재생에너지 보급을 위한 태양광 패널설치 공간을 확보 함이다. 또한 재생에너지 활성화에 따라 태양광 패널을 난간에 설치하는 사례가 증가하고 있는데 이에 따른 문제점을 알아보고, 상층부의 화재 확대 방지 대책을 제시하고자 한다. 연구방법: 화재시뮬레이션 프로그램인 FDS를 이용하였으며, 태양광 패널을 설치하여 화재확대 방지 거리를 확보하는 방법을 제시한다. 연구결과: 기존 난간에 설치하는 태양광 패널이 위험성이 있다는 것을 확인하였으며 상층부로의 화재 확대 방지대책으로 태양광 패널을 설치하여 이격 거리를 확보했다. 결론: 태양광 패널 설치로 인해 상층부로의 화재 확대를 방지하고 전기를 생산하는 공간을 제공한다.
