Abstract
Purpose: This study aims to empirically analyze the effects of the Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) and organizational commitment on organizational safety culture in financial institutions. Method: A survey was conducted among employees working in domestic financial institutions to collect data on BCMS, organizational commitment, and organizational safety culture. The collected data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) through SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 26.0. Result: All components of BCMS—organizational status, leadership, support, operations, and performance evaluation—were found to have a statistically significant positive effect on organizational commitment, with operations having the strongest influence. Additionally, BCMS components also had a significant impact on organizational safety culture, Furthermore, organizational commitment was found to have a partial mediating effect in the relationship between BCMS and organizational safety culture, thereby reinforcing the impact of BCMS on safety culture through organizational commitment. Conclusion: This study empirically confirms that BCMS and organizational commitment are key factors influencing the organizational safety culture of financial institutions. Accordingly, it is necessary for financial institutions to strengthen the implementation of BCMS and to strategically enhance employee education and training aimed at promoting a strong safety culture within the organization.
