Abstract
Purpose: This study aims to provide a foundation for developing age-appropriate education models by empirically analyzing disaster safety education satisfaction among disaster-vulnerable populations and educators in Yeongdo-gu, Busan. It specifically examines the variations in effectiveness according to different educational methodologies. Method: Data were collected from 350 participants of the ‘Disaster Safety Keeper’ program between 2024 Jan. and 2025 Dec. Statistical analyses, including descriptive statistics, t-tests, and one-way ANOVA, were performed using SPSS 27. Result: The analysis revealed significant differences in satisfaction levels across all groups. Notably, the group that participated in practical evacuation drills reported significantly higher satisfaction scores compared to the group that received theory-based instruction Conclusion: Disaster safety education models should be restructured to be more consumer-oriented and age-specific. This includes prioritizing intuitive, action-based training for children and low-intensity, hands-on experiential learning for the elderly that accounts for their physical limitations.
